Jase Grunder was named outstanding upper weight wrestler at a tournament for the third time this year.

The EP Panther wrestlers got a big return on their investment on Saturday as they managed to put 5 of their 7 competing wrestlers on the podium at the Polo Invitational.

The Panthers placed 9th in the 15 team meet scoring 86 points with Oregon winning the title with 196 points. The Panthers took just 7 wrestlers and came back with two champions a 5th and and two 6th place finishes

Wyatt Goossens improved his season record to 31-4 taking 1st at 120#. Teammate Jase Grunder moved to 35-1 on the season at 152# taking gold at the invite. He was also named outstanding upper weight wrestler in the tournament.

Luke Otten placed 5th at 182#collecting four wins by fall. Aiden Jepson at 138# and Victor Bonnell at 145# both placed 6th.

The Panthers host West Carroll and ROWVA on Wednesday.

Jase Grunder 1st place 152#.
Wyatt Goossens 1st Place 120#.
Luke Otten 5th place 182#.
