Back in May of 1999 Winning Wheels was looking for a way to give back to the community and at the same time promote its newly formed Brain Injury Prevention Program. Thus, was the start of delivering bike helmets and educating the Kindergarten Students of the Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico School District. This program is still going strong 24 years later.
On May 24, 2023, Mike Chastain, Safety Director, and Sheila Huizenga, Marketing Director/Asst. Administrator, delivered free bike helmets, informational coloring books, and a Winning Wheels sports bag to the Kindergarten classes at both Prophetstown and Tampico Elementary Schools. The students were educated on how to be safe, prevent a brain injury, and wear a bike helmet properly.
Since 1999 Winning Wheels has delivered their message and just under 2000 bike helmets to the children of our local school district because for Winning Wheels Brain Injury Prevention is not just a thing…It’s what we do.
