Friday, January 13th starting at 7PM the Copper Cow in Mt. Carroll is featuring a Sing-A-Long event featuring country musician, Brooke Byam. Follow the Copper Cow on FB for more information.

Thursday, January 19th at 6 pm the Whiteside Area Career Center CEO class invites you to a night of Foreign Foods & Tunes. This night of culturally based entertainment and food will be held at Sauk Valley Community College located on Rt 2 between Sterling & Dixon. Go to the Whiteside Area Career Center FB page for ticket details.

Saturday, January 21st from 8:30 until 2:30 there will be a Bald Eagle Watch at Lock & Dam 13 located off Rt 84 between Thomson & Fulton. In addition, there will be exhibits and educational programs taking place across the river at Clinton Community College from 9AM until 2PM. Saturday, January 21st the Mt. Carroll Lions Club will be hosting a free Skate Party at the Rotary Ice Rink located next to the Mt. Carroll swimming pool. All sizes of skates will be available for use along with supports for the novice skaters and there will be propane warmers for spectators. Dress warm and come out from 5 to 8PM for a fun night of skating under the lights. The Lions Club will also provide hotdogs, coffee, and hot chocolate and they will have a wood fire going for roasting marshmallows. The Rotary Rink is also open daily from 10AM to 8PM.
