September 17th, 18th & 19th Timber Lake Playhouse in Mt Carroll presents The Buddy Holly Story. The show features over 20 of Buddy Holly’s greatest hits and tells the incredible story of the young man with glasses whose musical career spanned an all-too-brief period during the golden days of rock & roll. September 17 & 18th the Autumn Extravaganza Craft and Vendor Show will be held at the Loveland Community House in Dixon and will include artisan works, Fall & Holiday crafts and vendors selling a wide variety of nationally known products. Hours are Friday from noon to 6 pm and Saturday 9 am – 2 pm. Admission is free and the Loveland has plenty of parking and is handicapped accessible on all levels
September 18th starting at 8 a.m. Vintage Chicks & Feed Antique Store will host the Chick Thing Flea Market at their location on Rt 72 between Leaf River & Byron. September 18th the 68th Annual Fiesta Parade will start at 1 pm in Rock Falls and end in Sterling and food vendors will be located throughout downtown Sterling and Rock Falls before, during, and after the parade. Due to road construction in downtown Sterling, the parade route has been changed so be sure to check out local media or the Fiesta Day FB page for new route information.
September 18th from 11 to 2 the Carroll County Courthouse Community Day will offer a chance to meet the county employees and have fun while doing it! There will be Fire Trucks, Ambulances and Squad Cars on site for kids to explore along with a K-9 Demonstration, Dunk Tank with Officers, History Display, Food and many kids’ activities & games. September 18th Fiesta Hispana celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month in Rochelle with dancing, food, petting zoo, craft vendors and fun for the entire family! Activities take place around the downtown gazebo and hours are 4-11 pm.

September 23rd the Sip Into Fall Wine Walk takes place throughout Sterling’s downtown area. whether it’s Girls Night Out or Date Night Fun, there is something for all on this adventure that includes 12 different stops.
