November 26th From 5-8 pm Savanna will hold their Christmas Walk throughout the downtown that will include horse drawn wagon rides, a cookie walk, live music and more. In addition, the Savanna Festival of Trees opens that night at the Museum & Cultural Center & runs through December 12th. Over 50 decorated wreathes & trees will be on display and hours are Monday thru Friday 4 pm to 7 pm and noon to 5 pm on Saturday & Sunday.

November 26th thru the 28th Picket Fence Carriage House in Lanark will be open for your holiday shopping offering great ideas for décor, gifts & more. Hours are Friday & Saturday 9-4 and Sunday noon-4

November 27th Lanark’s annual Jingle Fest takes place from 9 am to 2 pm at the Eastland Jr-Sr High School in Lanark. There will be holiday treats, photos with Santa, kids’ activities, vendors and more. Check out the Celebrate Lanark FB page for details

November 27th the 36th annual Prophetstown Lighted Christmas Parade will return with events starting at 3 pm and concluding with the parade starting at 6:30. Other events include Santa & Mrs. Claus at the Fire Station, Reindeer Dash, horse & carriage rides, face painting, lighting of the love light tree and more. November 27th head to downtown Oregon on for the Annual Candlelight Walk from 3pm – 8pm. Activities include Horse Drawn Wagon Rides, Santa & Mrs. Claus, holiday gift fair, children’s activities, refreshments, entertainment and more! Go to the website for all the details – candlelightwalk.org

And don’t forget that Saturday, November 27th is Shop Small Saturday and you can check-off your list with one-of-a-kind gifts from one-of-a-kind shops found throughout the Blackhawk Waterways region. There’s nothing better than shopping in a relaxed & friendly atmosphere while keeping your tax dollars local!
