Through December 12th the Savanna Museum is hosting a Festival of Trees with over 50 beautifully decorated trees on display. Hours are Mon. thru Fri. 4 pm to 7 pm and noon to 5 pm on Saturday & Sunday.

Every Friday, Saturday & Sunday in December you can drive thru the Holiday Light Display at Centennial Park in Rock Falls where local businesses, churches, schools, and other community organizations have decorated the shelters, fire truck, school house, caboose, fence lines, and green space throughout the park with dazzling lights & holiday displays for all to enjoy! Hours are 5 pm to 8 pm and admission is free but donations are appreciated.

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday thru December 19th, the Prophetstown First Responders are hosting the annual Light Up the Park drive through light display at Prophetstown State Park from 5-8 pm. This event is free but donations will be accepted. Follow the Prophetstown Police FB page for details.

December 10th, 11th, & 12th Dixon Stage Left will present the timeless Dickens classic tale, A Christmas Carol. Performances take place at the Dixon Historic Theater Show times are Friday & Sat at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. Go to their website for tickets – dixonstageleft.org

Thru December 12th, Timber Lake Playhouse in Mt Carroll presents the world premiere musical, WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD. This jukebox musical is the must-see-event of the Christmas season so go to the website for ticket information –timberlakeplayhouse.org

On December 11th starting at 1pm you’re invited to dig out your ugliest Christmas sweater and head to Savanna for their Ugly Christmas Sweater Bar Crawl. Join in for a few hours or crawl all the way to the end and book a room at one of their lodging establishments.
