Friday, April 8th from 6-100 p.m. join regional favorite, Burn N’ Bush at Barnacopia in rural Polo as they perform live during a fundraiser to support C.A.S.A. – the Court Appointed Special Advocates organization. Friday April 8th the Historic Dixon Theater will present the ultimate HEART Tribute band, Kick It Out, performing LIVE for one night only. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. and go to the website for tickets, dixontheatre.com
Saturday, April 9th Erie will hold an Easter Scavenger Hunt from 9-11:00 a.m. Kids can visit 20 locations throughout Erie to play games, make crafts, visit the Easter Bunny, and win prizes. This free event will start at Heritage Park where children will pick up their maps. Check out the FB event page for more information.
Saturday, April 9th starting at 6 p.m. the Twin Cities Sunrise Rotary Club will hold their annual Craft Beer & Wine Tasting Event at the Brandywine Banquet Center located between Dixon & Sterling. There will be food, drinks, and music provided by Bobbi White. Go to the FB event page for ticket information.
Sunday, April 10th the Savanna Fire Department will hold their annual Pancake Breakfast at the fire station from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Carry outs and deliveries are available and the $7 donation goes toward equipment upgrades.
Monday, April 11th the Dixon Founders Day Program will be held at the Loveland Community Center. This year they will feature the story of when Billy Sunday, a nationally renowned revivalist preacher, known for his larger-than-life persona and his “fire and brimstone” preaching, came to Dixon in 1905 and preached before a crowd of 150,000. This program will be presented by local historian Tom Wadsworth and the doors open at 6 pm with the program beginning at 6:30 pm.
