Terry Hoehn of the St. Mary Morrison Knights of Columbus Council #3916 recently presented a donation check in the amount of $877 to Tawny Wiersema, Program Director at White Oaks Therapeutic Equestrian Center (WHOA) in Morrison, as volunteers, students, and horses looked on.
The funds were raised from last year’s K of C Intellectual Disabilities Drive, more commonly known as the Tootsie Roll Drive. WHOA is a completely volunteer organization financed entirely by donations, and it provides equine-assisted therapy to students possessing a wide range of disabilities at the stables.
