Wednesdays are a bit different at the PLT#3 6-12 Campus as only students that attend school five days each week are in the building. It gives teachers a chance to catch up with their remote learners and for the schools to do extra cleaning and sanitizing.
With the students in the building having several study halls, two teachers’ aides decided to have the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders work on a project to bring smiles to the faces of people who have been extremely affected by the current pandemic.
Aides, Lexi Scobee and Rita Lawrence asked students to create cards for residents at the Allure Nursing Facility in Prophetstown with a theme “Thinking of You”.
Some representative students delivered the cards to Tara Gibson, Business Manager at Allure.
The gesture was greatly appreciated by the facility with Lawrence saying, “We did it just to bring some sunshine in this dark time of Covid.”
