David Anderson of 106 South Benton Street in Tampico, has been
decorating his house for Halloween for the past 16 years. Anderson said, “Halloween is a happy time for me, many happy memories of my mom running Halloween Parties at school and church. While I have no kids myself, I want to pass on happy memories to the kids of today.”
Anderson’s yard features decorations he has made by hand including a working Ferris Wheel filled with Halloween characters in each seat. He has also created stocks that can be used for photos.
The Halloween lover says, “I don’t need to be here, just come and see and enjoy yourself.” He added that many of the kids who came to trick or treat in the past years, now bring their kids.
Anderson has been a cemetery caretaker for St. Mary’s for thirty years where he mows, trims and helps with internment of ashes.
