Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
Hours: Part-Time (Max. of 20 hours/week) M – F during the hours of 7am – 5 pm as needed
Sets up, operates, troubleshoots and repairs equipment and associated tooling in a GMP compliant facility. Includes fixture design, fabrication and preventative maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.
Anticipate and schedule maintenance, preventative/predictive maintenance, of equipment and fixtures based on manufacturers suggested maintenance frequency or historical data supporting maintenance frequency.
Performs routine facility maintenance/repairs including basic electrical, HVAC and plumbing.
Troubleshoots equipment for root cause failure and coordinate purchase of components and to coincide with an expedited repair plan.
Studies and interprets blueprints, schematics, sketches, machine parts or specifications.
Dismantles machine or equipment to examine parts for defect or to remove defective part.
Schedule and perform routine maintenance of equipment and facility infrastructure including grease, oil, filters of Cleanroom filtration, chillers, compressors, etc…
Perform/Support equipment/process validations and document results.
Coordinate with outside contractors to expeditiously obtain quotes and repairs of equipment.
Negotiate contracts and bids for repairs and building/equipment maintenance.
Maintain training compliance based on prescribed SOP’s as relates to position.
Work closely with peers and outside contractors to complete preventative maintenance activities and repairs during production downtime. This requires flexibility in work schedule to accommodate internal/external customers.
Actively participate in regularly scheduled production meeting and communicate timing for preventative and predictive maintenance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires a high school diploma or GED.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read, write and speak English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must be able to perform basic mathematical skills including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and algebraic computations.
REASONING ABILITY: Requires the ability to make sensible determinations when making company related decisions. This position requires the ability to do multitasking in a team environment that includes the ability to interface with all levels of management.
