The second and third quarters proved to be the difference for Rockridge as they took home a 40-32 win over the Panthers on Tuesday night in Prophetstown.
The teams were tied at 8 heading into the second quarter, but EP could manage just 4 points in the next 8 minutes while the Rockets added a dozen to take a 20-12 halftime lead.
The third quarter proved just as trying for the Panthers as they were outscored 12-6 with the Rockets opening a 14 point lead. Battling back in the final frame the Panthers booked 14, but it was not enough to overcome the deficit.
Clayton Johnson had 12 points and Dawson Haagard added 11 including 3 triples to lead the offense.
The Frosh-Soph Picked up another conference win as they used a big first quarter in route to a 45-24 win. The Panthers lead by 10 after the first quarter and 13 at the half.
Mason Misfedlt had 16 and Kolby Franks added14 for the Panthers
The Panthers will host St. Bede on Friday. The game was originally scheduled to be played at St. Bede.
