Eighth-graders Kennedi Shaffer and Alex Ottens were awarded the American Legion School Medal Award, chosen by their classmates, under the supervision of the school faculty at the PLT 8th grade promotion on May 28th.
This distinguished award is based on citizenship, honor, patriotism, leadership and service.
Presenting the award on behalf of the American Legion was Larry Vandyke, Cmdr., Prophetstown American Legion Post #522.
