At a special board meeting on Thursday night the PLT#3 School Board unanimously approved a plan that will allow more students to return to their classrooms beginning Monday, October 26th.
The vast majority of staff and parents responded in a survey saying they wanted to see students back in district buildings four days per week and the board agreed.
The plan was tweaked slightly to the one debuted at the board’s meeting last week. The biggest changes include removing the gradual return of students in two week intervals by grade level. All students who elect to return to the new four-day-a-week schedule will all begin the new schedule on the 26th.
The other change will allow all grade levels to continue the A/B schedule attending two days a week.
As part of the original plan there will be no student attendance on Wednesdays with all students learning remotely.
