Pat’s Table Closed Until September

The local Cub Scouts are frequent servers at Pat's Table.

It has been announced that Pat’s Table will not resume until September according to director Lindsey Andersen.

The weekly Monday evening gathering featuring a free meal and fellowship in the basement of the Prophetstown United Methodist Church, has been cancelled since early March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Andersen says that as of now there will be,”no major changes coming in the future.” Of course that is subject to change based on future guidelines. The program will resume on Monday, September 14th.

The director said she had hoped to reopen yet this spring, but recent restrictions have made that improbable. Pat’s Table recently served its 30,000th meal.

Andersen said,”Thank you to all our volunteers this year. I appreciate each of you so much! Again, if you need anything, please reach out to me!

The ministry is always looking for donations to continue the program. Mail donations can be sent to: Prophetstown United Methodist Church c/o Pat’s Table 200 West 2nd St. Prophetstown, Il. 61277.
