In a meet dedicated to non-varsity athletes, EP hosted the Irv Sanderson JV Invitational on Wednesday in Erie. Sanderson was a long time math teacher at Prophetstown High School along with coaching basketball, cross country, and track. During his coaching career he coached dozens of cross county and track athletes to state competitions.
The Panther F/S boys dominated the meet scoring a whopping 151 points to runner-up Newman and third place Kewanee. EP won 4 events and placed second in seven others.
Sophomore Lucas Dreisbach had a big night taking 1st in the 800m, 1st 4×400 relay, 2nd 4×800 relay and 2nd in pole vault.
