The EP Panthers bounced back from a loss to Kewanee on Friday night to get a road win in Peru against St. Bede on Saturday. The Panthers trailed only once, 10-8 in the early part of the second quarter, but cruised the rest of the way getting a 57-43 win.
EP opened a 14 point lead at the half and grew it to 18 in the fourth quarter.
The Panthers had ten players mark the scoring column led by Bryce Rosenow and Connor Sibley each with 13 and Kolby Franks adding 10. Logan Griggs led St. Bede with 12.
The Panther F/S team trailed in the third quarter 28-20 but went on a 16-0 run to take the lead and keep it. St. Bede got within a point with :45 remaining but the Panthers were able to hold on 44-41 to go to 3-1 on the year.
The 2-2 Panthers will host Bureau Valley on Tuesday and travel to Manlius on Friday.
