The past week has been a good one for the EP Panther volleyball team. It started last weekend with EP going 2-1-1 to take third place at the Pearl City Invitational. The Panthers beat Pearl City and Indian Creek fell to Marengo and tied Polo.

On Tuesday EP defeated Princeton at Erie in two sets 25-20, 25-16.

On Wednesday the team scored a win at Rockridge in three sets 18-25, 26-24, 25-19. The Panthers trailed in the second set 16-22 and battled back to get the win 26-24. Coach Heather Bruns said, “The girls worked hard and came back from a 16-22 deficit for the 2nd time this year! A huge shoutout goes to our F/S girls for being louder than Rockridge’s home crowd! The effort and enthusiasm doesn’t go unnoticed!”

The Panthers have won their last four matches against TRAC opponents and are sporting a 7-8-1 (3-3) record.

The freshmen are also seeing success as they took first out of fourteen teams at the Sterling Tournament last Saturday.
