PAHS Reopens

220

Submitted by Lorraine Thompson

The Prophetstown Area Historical Society is now open every Saturday morning from 10-12 for coffee, treats, and fellowship. The public is welcome to visit the museum and see the newly-organized displays.

At the May meeting, guest Denny Frary presented a delightful program with beautiful photographs and background of his mother, Fritzi Frary, from her modeling days in Chicago.  PAHS Archivist Fred South scanned the materials, which will be on display soon.

Three generations of bridal gowns and veils are currently on display in the museum window. Thank you to Janet Goodell, daughter Diane Baker, and granddaughter Abbey DeShane, for sharing their lovely attire.

Officers for 2021 are President, Lorraine Thompson; Vice President, Bev Peterson; Secretary, Janet Goodell; Treasurer, Glenna Spotts; Board Members, Keith Crady, Jeff Dever, and Jennifer Malone.

The next monthly meeting is Saturday, June 10 at 10 AM.  The public is welcome to attend.
