Scott was born on July 3, 1988, in Sterling, the son of Joseph Kostman and Penny White. Scott was very passionate about becoming an air flight mechanic, and was in the process of furthering his education to reach that goal. He had a strong admiration for Batman, which always brought a smile to his family.
Survivors include his father, Joseph (Paula) Kostman, of Marion; three brothers, Eugene (Trisha) Kostman, of Rock Falls, Patrick (Kara) Kostman, of Dixon, and Brian McCallister, of Harmon; and three sisters, Jessica Vaughn, of Sterling, Ashley Skinner, Prophetstown, and Brittany McFadden, of Rock Falls.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00pm on Monday, November 20, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Funeral service will follow at 5:00pm with Pastor Flint Council officiating. Cremation rites will follow. Private interment will take place at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
