Janette H. Bush, 70, of Prophetstown, IL, died Monday, September 5, 2022, at Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling, IL.
Per Janette’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Fulton Township Cemetery with Rev. Peter Kicheon Ahn, pastor at Leon United Methodist Church in Prophetstown, IL, officiating. The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. A memorial has been established to the Leon United Methodist Church. Janette’s family would like to thank Rock River Hospice and Home’s Staff for the excellent care she received in her final days.
Janette was born July 21, 1952, in Morrison, IL, to Chester Lee & H. Elizabeth (Wohrley) Ballard. She was educated in the Erie Grade Schools and was a 1970 graduate of Erie High School. She married Arlyn K. Bush on April 9, 1994, in Morrison, IL. He died May 18, 2021. Janette was employed in the housekeeping department of Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison since 1970 retiring in 2020. She was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison and past member of the Newton Zion Reformed Church in Erie. Most recently, she had been attending Leon United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Kim (Paul) Mehring of Elmhurst, IL; one stepson, Craig (Jennifer) Bush of Olathe, KS; four step-grandchildren, Erin & Morgan Mehring, Ashley & Alex Bush; one brother-in-law, Milton (Janice) Bush of Morrison, IL; her beloved cat, Cinnamon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Arlyn.
