The Prophetstown Fire Protection District recently held a special meeting to install its new trustees, whom were elected in April.
Former District Chief, Keith Crady, ambulance service volunteer, Ron Hansen, and current trustee, Nels Carlson were sworn in by trustee Mike Fisk. Crady will serve for 6 years, Hansen and Carlson will serve 2 years each. Officers were also elected; Bill Jacobs- President, Fisk and Crady- Treasurer, Carlson and Hansen- Secretary.

The group took action a request from the ambulance service to park a trailer behind the Prophetstown Department to serve as sleeping quarters for ambulance personnel from out of town and on call. The former trustees had been offered the Prophetstown ESDA Headquarters previously, but had declined. The new group decided to take a tour of the ESDA facility and unanimously decided that it would work well and not consider a trailer. Details are being worked out.
The next regular meeting of the PFPD is scheduled for Monday, June 10th at 7:00 PM.
