Prophetstown Mason Lodge #293 has continued their support of PLT#3 District Libraries as they recently made a donation to Laura Crisp, District Media Center Director.
The Masons have been making donations to the district for almost 10 years to help support literacy.
Crisp said she would use the donation to purchase a set of the Lincoln Reader Books for the upcoming school year. The list of twenty books is selected each year by ISLMA (Illinois School Library Media Association). Students who read at least six of the books during the school year receive the Lincoln Reader Award. This past May, Crisp presented the award to twenty-one high school students.
Masons Richard Maronde and Monty Lindberg presented the $200 donation.
