Last August, the Village of Lyndon began asking the public for donations to purchase U.S. Flags to be put up along the stretch of Moline Road that runs through the Village. Last weekend, in celebration of Memorial Day, the new flags were displayed.
In December the Village Board, approved spending funds raised by the Veterans Memorial Motorcycle Ride of $600 along with individual donations of $392 to purchase 60 new flags to be displayed in the Village on appropriate holidays.
