Love Light Names 2021

Information provided by the Love Light Committee

Each year the Love Light Tree Committee receives several hundred names of people and groups to be honored or memorialized with the lighting of the Christmas Tree in Prophetstown’s Eclipse Square Veterans Memorial Park.

The lighting ceremony will begin at 5:30 on Saturday, November 27th with music provided by Jenna and Nick McClelland. Mayor Steve Swanson and Pastor Chelsey Weech will speak with Jeanette Bush lighting the tree just before 6:00 p.m. in memory of her husband Arlyn.

The names of all those recognized by family and friends will be displayed near the tree.

The star on the tree is dedicated to the memory of Kenneth and Arletta Moore, the Prophetstown couple who established the Moore Foundation.

The Love Light Committee would like to thank the Prophetstown community for their wonderful support. The overwhelming generosity of your donations toward the remembrance of your loved ones will allow this beautiful tradition to continue. We would like to thank the following people and businesses, for without their help, this project would not be possible:

The Farmers Mutual Insurance for mailing the remembrance cards, Dan Eyrich with Aroundptown.com and The Echo for their advertising of our coupon, events, and publishing of all the names, Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home for providing the candles, Pastor Chelsey Weech for providing the service at the ceremony, the First Lutheran Church for providing the speaker system at the ceremony and printing of the pamphlets, Jenna Scifres and accompaniment for providing the music for the ceremony, all the Merchants and Businesses for letting us put our coupon trees in their stores, Prophetstown Proud for the advertising of the ceremony and storage of the Love Light Tree items, Darren Mosher for helping throughout the year and especially with the lighting display and Mayor Steve Swanson for opening the ceremony.

Thank you all again!
