Illinois health officials reported more than 4,000 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, a record high one-day total. Whiteside County, which is part of the IDPH’s Region 1 is currently sitting at a 10.1% rolling positivity rate.
Governor J.B. Pritzker called on the region to help quell the rise in numbers. “Each of you have a direct role in bringing your numbers down…wear a mask, keep social distance, and encourage those who flout guidelines to act with consideration for the entire community.”
The Whiteside County Health Department announced 28 new laboratory confirmed cases and 20 recoveries of COVID-19 on Thursday. Cases: (4)Under 20, (3)20s, (2)30s, (4)40s, (6)50s, (6)60s, (1)70s, (2)80+
Illinois announced 4,015 new cases and 53 additional deaths.
