Saturday, June 8 at 9:00 a.m. is the next meeting of the Historical Society at 302 Washington Street in Prophetstown. After the short business meeting, Fred South will show interesting videos of interviews with retired residents from years past. The public is welcome to attend.
A special Thank You to PHS History Teacher, Kaylee Coffee, and PHS Students Hailey Barron, Dutch Crady, Tristan Girkin, and Morgan Schmitt for their help with cleaning and gardening on PHS Service Day on Friday, May 10 at the Asa Crook House. If you would like to see the inside of the Asa Crook House, it will be open the first Sunday of July and August from 1-3 p.m. or by appointment calling 537-5412 or 537-2224.
Have you seen our New Acquisitions in the big window? Thank you to Keith Crady and The Drummets for the antique wooden display box and cash register. We have also received other kind donations from friends which are much appreciated, and will be on display soon.
The museum is open every Saturday morning from 10-12 with coffee and refreshments. We meet the second Saturday of the month from 9-10 a.m. Everyone is invited. If you have not visited before, please stop in – we will save a seat for you.
