Erie Preps For Holiday Events

Volunteers add lights to the tree in Erie's downtown triangle.

Multiple events are planned to kick off the Christmas Season in Erie on December 5th.

Revitalize Erie will be hosting a parked parade at the Erie High School parking lot, 435 6th Ave., on Saturday, December 5th from 5-7 PM. The theme for this year’s event is “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”

Parade entries will lined up in the parking lot to enjoy with Santa on hand to provide an option to stop and get a socially distanced photo.

The fountain in the Erie Triangle has been decked out for upcoming Christmas events.

Members of the Erie High School National Honor Society will be collecting non perishable food items or cash contributions to help support the local Erie Food Pantry.

Entry registration for the parade is $10 and is due by Monday, November 30th. For additional details contact Danae Wunderlich @ 309.716.7599

The planters in the downtown area have been transformed for the Christmas Holiday.

The Erie Christian Church, just two blocks northwest of the high school, will be hosting a Live Nativity drive-through at the same time and invite parade viewers to cruise past their annual portrayal featuring live animals and actors.

On your way home from these events you are asked to make one more stop, this time at the Erie United Methodist Church 811 8th Street. They are holding a Grab & Go Soup Supper.
