Erie will be celebrating the Holiday season on Saturday with a “Hometown Holiday” event and Winter Wonderland parade.

The parade will begin at 6:30 and travel east to west on Main Street starting near 12th Ave and ending at 7th Ave. 19 entries are slated to take part in the parade.

Aroundptown.com will be recording the parade for playback at a later date. Aaron Dail with WQUD Radio will be the guest announcer along with members of his family.

Participants are asked to begin lining up at 5:30, entering the parade route off of Moline Rd.

Revitalize Erie Intern, Katelin Bridgman, said the organization is very excited for the parade and associated events.

Other events during the day include photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the fire station, a soup supper, tree lighting and a basket raffle.

Extended business hours for stores in the triangle will also be part of the event with several featuring treats and special discounts.
