Transformer Fire Causes Damage In Tampico

Public Works Director Tyler Chriest reported that the damaged transformer caused either a surge or a loss of three phase power, which damaged the motor on the primary water well at the water tower. The system was switched to the backup well without any loss in pressure to the system.

The board voted unanimously to accept Pierce's resignation after meeting in executive session for approximately twenty-five minutes. A motion to accept the resignation at the September 21st meeting died due to the lack of a second.
