Prophetstown

The Prophetstown/Lyndon Food Pantry will be holding another special food distribution on Wednesday, December 1st from 4-6 PM at 215 Washington St. (Main Street) in Prophetstown.  

The event is held in the Allure Apartments behind the skilled nursing facility and begins at 1:30. 

The day will begin with several Main Street businesses holding extended hours and offering holiday specials to celebrate Small Business Saturday.

With the return of the lighted parade Franks is hoping parade entrants will share their works of art with the public for a few more weeks by displaying them in the park.

The lighting ceremony will begin at 5:30 on Saturday, November 27th with music provided by Jenna and Nick McClelland. Mayor Steve Swanson and Pastor Chelsey Weech will speak with Jeanette Bush lighting the tree just before 6:00 p.m.

VanDyke told the Council the couple has had no luck in finding additional suitable space in town and would like to build a warehouse facility that would be used for shipping and receiving while maintaining their storefront operation.

Its been a busy twelve months for the entrepreneur as she opened her original shop, married her fiancé Nick McClelland, grew her operation, and now bought a bigger space to keep up with the demand for her products.

His mom Tarah said he is a great kid and "that is just the type of stuff he does."

The Prophetstown Lions Club will hold a Red Cross Blood drive on Monday, December 6th at the PLT#3 District Office. The drive will run from 11:30 A.M - 5:30 PM.
