Erie Hometown Holiday Parade (video)

The day was capped with a parade and the lighting of the town's Christmas tree in the center of the downtown triangle.

Lyndon Bridge Lighting Saturday

Santa will be present giving out gifts and listening to children's wishes. Refreshments will be served along with a raffle for a lovely handmade quilt.

Light Up The Park Opens Friday (video)

The drive through event will operate the next three weekends, Friday-Sunday from 5-8 p.m. There is no charge but donations are welcome and will be distributed among the first responder departments and additional volunteer groups.

Political Coffee Club

The Conservative Coffee Club of Whiteside County is meeting at Harvest Bakery and More in Erie on Thursday mornings at 9:00 a.m.

“A Christmas Carol” In Morrison Friday

The family production will be a radio adaptation of the original movie. Old time radio shows were performed in front of a live audience who provided background laughter and encouragement to the cast.

Lions Toys For Kids seeking Donations And Elves

"We have raised the age limit to include children through high school and we have seen an increased number of families in need of a little help this Christmas," said Lions' President Teresa Bielema.
