The 37th edition of the Prophetstown Lighted Christmas Parade was the place to be on Saturday night as Main Street was lined with hundreds of folks who were looking to usher in the Christmas season.
Over forty entries participated in the annual event with perfect weather conditions adding to the festive parade atmosphere.
Candy, Christmas music, and thousands of lights entertained the crowd for over thirty minutes as the parade worked its way down Main Street.
“Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” was the theme for the evening, which followed hours of activities on and near the downtown area. Reindeer Races, face painting, cookie decorating, hot cocoa, food and the lighting of the Love Light Tree were all part of a perfect start to the Christmas season.
